The Sensory Support Service comprises two individual teams working in partnership: the Team for Children with Visual Impairments, and the Team for Children with Hearing Impairment. Both Teams assess, monitor and support children and young people with sensory loss, in homes, nurseries, mainstream and special schools. The SSS is a primarily a peripatetic educational service, enabling successful inclusion for children with sensory needs.
